Hi Greg, well, I'm a new computer user and I have been disappointed there is NO easy way to post photos on Pentax User site; there is some 'GEN' around which tells you the pics have to be 'hosted by another site' but I can't understand what it means. Some Japanese member has shown some photos but of course they are ALL EXPERTS at computers!
I have joined e-PHOTOzine to do it, and have found out how to 'upload'.
It WAS FREE but I got in just in time as three days later they put a membership charge on it !

As Peter mentions, this site is where to show your pictures:
www.ephotozine.com
You can "hotlink" pictures into this forum, but not from every site. What you need is your picture already on another web site, and then you put a line of code into your message that tells the software where to find the picture!
Ironically, you can't hotlink a picture from ePHOTOzine, but you can from many sites.
It's easier to set up an ePHOTOzine identity!

Just to see if it will work, here I'm attempting to put in a picture of Sophie:

Well, no it doesn't! But you can cut and paste the following line into your browser, which would direct us to your picture on the web:

It should work.....

As you can see, you just need to click on the line. In some forums you do need to cut and paste, but not in this one.
Hope that helps a bit!

How's this for a simple example?

Seems it can be done.
Generally speaking HTML code will not work on phpBB Bulletin Boards, you must use its own BBcode. In the case above it is of the form
{img}http://mywebspace/myfilename.jpg{/img}
but use square brackets instead of curly ones and modify jpg if appropriate. (If I used square brackets here the Bulletin Board software would look for a picture and you wouldn't see the code.)
BTW, the pcture above was taken with a Pentax ME Super circa 1982.
