Portrait PP

Have being playing a lot in Lightroom lately and I've redone some photos.
This is already quite an old one but never really did something with it so my question is do you like this effect?
Any other comment and advice is of course welcome, I'm here to learn after all.

Probably not as you have a shadow under the nose

You've managed the spectacles well although one eye possibly looks larger than the other.

Nice portrait and a great expression.

What I can't tell and would be interested to know - is the forehead a little blown out?

Thank you Mike, was one of the side steps I took taking portraits.
Quite like it but I'm to shy to do it to be honest.

I can tell you that Lightroom says her forehead isn't blown out.
I've tried to bring the exposure down but you lose the highlights in her hair because of that but her forehead pretty much stays the same.
Next time I'll use some foundation for the highlights.

Use the brush tool in Lightroom and lowered the exposure a bit.
Is it better like this?

I think it's a great portrait, full of life and showing some excellent rapport with the model. The effect also really suits it.

It may have blown out highlights, harsh shadows and not be technically perfect, but it's still a great portrait.

So the model saved the photo in this case

Really though, thank you John, was and still is my first and only shoot.
Might have wanted to fill in the harsh shadows, certainly on her neck and use make up for the highlights but somehow I do get away with it since it still looks good.

there may be mistakes, but it doesnt matter as far as the entirety is good.
