Three lovely shots wshich have an air of genuine quality about them. I particularly like the first deep red poppy. What a great lens that is!
Best wishes,
Andrew

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I see no link in the first post, and the hoverfly/purple flower in the second. No we squares for me either.

Snappy,
It is with profound reluctance that I have to admit that all three are a delight to behold. If I had to chose one to take with me to my 'desert island' it would have to be number 2.
The 'bug' on number 1 looks very much like a common pollen beetle (Meligethes aeneus: hope I spelt that last bit right:lol.
As the Welsh Wiz' has already pointed out, your 'wasp' is actually an hover-fly. Just wished to support his assertion in case, like the majority of we sensible English, you never trust the word of a Welshman

Thanks for the positive comment folks. Its difficult with insects for me, my eyes are terrible. (partially sighted) Flickr seems to have changed it's interface for users. In all size's it doesn't give you the url for the shot to paste into forums! Will experiment.

The above link should take you to the thistle shot, is this working. I can't seem to get pictures to display in threads any more.
