Hello

Another DSLR newbie question !

I fancy getting a polarizing filter for my k-x, i presume as the lens says 52mm on the front this is the size i need ?

Also can anyone recommend one ? The difference in price is amazing - from a few quid on ebay to £60 or £70 !

thanks muchly

Yes it will be 52mm

I would recommend the Hoya Pro1 Digital (or the latest version). With polarisers there really is a lot of difference from cheap to expensive - reflections, colour cast, distortion, vignetting as the mount is too thick ...

The more expensive ones will have a better polarizing effect and give you less colour cast or render them differently.
Also the more expensive once have multiple coatings to make them better.
Hoya and B+W are considered the best.

Another vote for the Hoya Pro 1 Digital.
