polarising filter

Hi all, had a problem with my polarising filter, screwed it on my uv filter and now they have become inseprable, if i had screwed it directly to my lens i would be stumped, now when i take off the polarising filter the uv comes off as well now, anybody had the same problem

Filters do some times get stuck and hard to remove so its worth investing in a couple of filter wrenches, they are quite cheep are invaluable in any photographers kit. I carry mine with me all the time.

You could try a rubber band around each filter (if they'll fit), gives more grip.

rubber kitchen gloves or gently warming them might do the trick. Why on earth did you screw a polarising filter onto a UV?

I was fishing at the time wanted to take pics of my carp and i knew if i took the uv filter off first, it probley would have got covererd in crap, so i was being idle

Thanks for the replys, i did manage to seperate the two filters, using laytex gloves, but to be honest i had cross threaded it
