Hi Greg,
internal reflections and flare?
I've abandoned any Skylight filters in the digital era.
I have a knocked out one for attaching Cokin P holder (including polariser) to my DA 15mm though.

A polariser reduces light levels anyway by around 2/3 stops depending on the brand and you certainly run the risk of increasing flare and image degradation by adding one filter onto another but I have to ask, why would you want to do this anyway? Just remove the skylight and fit the polariser, nothing to worry about then

I agree with the two previous. Polarising filter on it`s own for the said reasons, also can be a real challenge to separate two filters screwed together. If you want to protect the front element use lens hoods!

Just quick question, can you fit a CPL on top of a skylight 1a filter with no effect to the image and also no loss of light?
