They don't quite look like the most powerful land predator yet.
Good capture of them at play.

Very cute! They are really filthy though! That can't all just be dirt can it? Do they live next to a coal mine?

Captive polar bears are often anything but white. The hollow hairs can get filled with dirt or algae which turns them green .
The cubs father and grandmother, who do have the swimming pool, are a similar colour. Their mother is pretty white and they were white when they first appeared outside. If there had been a keeper around I would have asked about it.
The zoo in question is about an hour drive away so too far to visit too often sadly.

Yes they really are that colour. A month ago they were very white, but I couldn't get to the zoo then .
