I have just sat and watched "Its been a hard days night" (The Beatles 1964)
When realised Ringo Starr was going around London taking photos with a Pentax. He even dropped it in the Thames and carried on using it after retrieval.Apparently he was a keen photographer. But then I should imaine most of the users will know.

In 1964 Pentax was a cool brand....helped along by celebrity use such as The Beatles, Peter Sellers, David Bailey....

One of the iconic lenses was the first fisheye that didn't need a mirror lock up to work. Previously, fisheye lenses had rear elements that protruded into the mirror box, meaning the mirror had to locked up out of the way. Pentax led the field here and it became the must-have lens for wacky fashion photography.
Best regards, John

Thanks for your input John. I just noticed my typing error. I have googled Ringo and in his portfolio he has a photo taken with a fisheye.

Regards Ken
