At least you found it Gary so the hour was worth it.
We were in Plymouth in June and the wife dicided she would take the opportunity to visit the Seamans Memorial to look for her Grand Uncles name, again it took almost an hour to find it, of course it would have been a lot easier had she been able to remember the year he was killed.
I also captured a snap for posterity, not anywhere near as good as yours though.

I vaguely remember him before he left the UK for Australia with his young family. Took over an hour walking round before I found the seat.
Like too many, he went too young.
