Flash exposure looks fine, fire looks a little overexposed? To me anyway, just a bit too red. Might be how it looks through the glass though.

definately in the ball park. a fine exercise. now about that wicker/logs beside the stove....don't you worry about heat/sparks/spontanious combustion?
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Log fire takes me back a bit, Lovely, anyway exposure looks fine on my monitor.

So, I took a few exposures with the flash off the camera.
This one is a one second exposure, to capure the red / orange glow, and the flash discharged, pointing at the ceiling during the exposure.
What do you think? Oh, and as for the debris on the fire...well, I did say it was a dark room
