Played with the 645D

Surprisingly enough Pentax had a little stand on a photography fair I went with some members of the Dutch Pentaxforum yesterday.
Got Pentax t-shirt now

We talked a bit there and played with the cameras.
The 645D was surprisingly light and easy to control, The K10D with the DA*50-135 seemed to weight more.
The image quality is amazing as you all know. Made a shot and was looking at the photo only to surprisingly discover it was shot at ISO1000 because it looked very good, i really want one now but no idea where to get th money from

Got some news that there is a major update coming for the 645D for SDXC support and to improve the speed to make it better for studio work, and with the tethering shooting program to finish it.
He also said that the tethering shooting also might work with the K5 so fingers crossed for that.

For the rest little news that concerns non Dutch users.
The Beukelaar have said to upgrade their services and offer professional service to go in line with the professional products Pentax is offering, so it seems they will be getting things like 24 hour return times or loan camera's. Lets hope they have that service up soon.
No student programs yet though but I might apply for the professional service when i study.

Was that at Zoom Experience? I didn't bother going as they weren't listed.

I keep hoping Pentax Europe will decide on a Pentax Benelux division and give De B the boot, but it doesn't sound likely from what you say Stefan.

Their service can't get any worse, so anything should be an improvement.

I also hear De B are also upping their prices, especially on lenses .

Did you stay on and get some shots of the Trajectum Lumen in Utrecht?

Yes it was the zoom experience.
Wasn't planning to go either but since some of the forum went I thought it might be gezellig (fun) to go.

We went to Joe McNally at Nikon, that was certainly worth the visit.

Yeah i also hope they will improve, they told me they already gave Pro priority so if something needs to get fixed just say you're a Pro and you might get it back earlier

No sorry we didn't had time for Trajectum Lumen and I actually wanted to get home soon as well.
The whole day walking at the fair was more then enough for me.
