Both types fit on the K-mount perfectly.
The PK-A version has electronic contacts that allow information to be exchanged between the camera and lenses. The features available depend on the particular camera and lens combination you are using but if your camera has the standard K mount, then the lens will act as an ordinary K lens and the contacts will be redundant.
The optical performance of the lens will not be affected in any way and will work perfectly.
Hope that helps.

brilliant!
thank you ever so much. after browsing the site i kinda gathered that the A stood for automatic or something and that it would fit. but thanks for the conformation. its much appreciated.
