Photography is Fun

So here's today's Fun Picture. We're just back from the new doctor Who exhibition in Manchester, so here is my picture of ADAPS' favourite model Maxine, as Rose Tyler...

Unfortunately I can't see the picture. I'm jealous as I have been a Dr.Who fan since the first episode - I have most on DVD. We get the new series about six months behind you - just picked up the series two set.

I can honestly say I have seen every single episode since the first. It's all been great, but the new series has re-invented it all brilliantly. We've just finished watching the first episode of series 3, and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Off topic I know..

but I just came in and caught the last 30 minutes or so of Dr. Who. First time I've seen it in probably 15+ years.. and I'm hooked.

Next time capture a DALEK as they are fun as well.

Shame I live the other side of the pond as I like DR WHO since Katy and Joh back in the early 1970's from our TVO (Television of Ontario) under the Davis as PM of Ontario back then.

There's a series running here in North America called Heros in which the second-to-last Dr. Who actor plays a great role.

Ok, still off topic:- Series 1 was "Bad Wolf", Series 2 "Torchwood" and I predict, series 3 is "Vote Saxon".

I can honestly say I don't really get Dr. Who. Who is he?

Seeing it had such a large following in the UK, I watched a couple of the older, perhaps original versions of the show many years ago and was not all that excited by it, however this newer incarnation is very enjoyable but I still don't quite get it

Who indeed? A traveller in time and space, arriving at critical moments as events reach a pivotal crisis. He interferes and resolves issues for others and then melts away seamlessly into the background.

Or an adventure story with a mysterious Hero and lots of nasty monsters to battle.

It works on various levels and can be very subtle.

Photographically, the exhibition was a terrific place to take atmospheric shots. The pentax K10D worked out all the exposures very nicely and I just let it do so. (Why struggle when there's no need?)
