I saw something today we don't often see in the UK, the high temperature warning symbol appeared on the Q's LCD screen (a red thermometer), the temp here in Spain was 34C and I'd been shooting quite a lot

I had that on my K-5II at Yeovilton Air Day a couple of weeks ago just before it had a hissy fit and shut down.

The Q had a fit too, come to think of it, whilst in Av mode it scrolled through a few Scene modes when moved.

Ken - now that you mention it, I did notice that on the K-r, I was getting the "battery depleted" (red empty battery symbol) message when I was in Thailand in May. The temperature back then was high-30's/early to mid 40's!.. And I still came back looking like your typical "peely-wally" Scotsman!!

This wasn't the battery depleted symbol but a red thermometer. Fighting peelywallyness!
