Welcome, I'll recommend the K200d, as for the P30 just watch Ebay they turn up at a reasonable price regularly.
On the other hand you could wait until the 'new' Pentax is announced at the end of the month and see what happens to the K20d price.

The new one might be announced at the end of the month but when will it be in the shops?

Thanks for the welcome! I'm going on holiday soon so I might see if I can persuade my boss to sell me the office Pentax P50 (it hasn't been used since they got a C-n-n D400).
I see there are some very temptingly priced K10D's about. I haven't actually seen one in the flesh though, so I'm a little concerned about bulk; and the K200D seems to have the edge in terms of image quality (mark 2 lens, DR, and noise control options) and would be a nice compact package with a fast manual lens on the front. (I like street photography!)

Hello and welcome Interesting, how many 'Pentaxians' used Zenit cameras before (I also did).
Kind regards,

Hello Will and welcome to the forum.
You have my sympathy as I was once burgled and had all my photography gear taken.

Was very interested in Piotro's K10D for the price he was asking, but was pipped at the post. The K200D therefore won out, and I picked up a 'nearly new' one from ebay, along with a 'cheap as chips' 50mm f.2 to celebrate!
Add in my 80-200mm SMCA and 17mm Tokina, and I'm now kitted up and ready to do some shooting! (When the camera arrives lol)

If my boat contents insurance had covered these items I would no doubt be looking to upgrade to a K20D; but they didn't, so I am considering second hand options or perhaps the K200D or K-m -- or even, perhaps going over to the dark side, and getting a N-k-n D60!
