Manual here:

The site is run by somebody who used to be a frequent contributor on the forum, but who has been a little quiet lately. These are the best manuals on the net, and free.
The Z1 is an excellent camera, and sports the excellent hyper-program mode, which can also be found on the *ist D and the K10D.
Have fun.

I think the manual is useful only to work out the custom functions
otherwise like a typical Pentax they are so intuitive to use....

Intuitive to seasoned Pentax users, probably. Since he or she has never had one before, the manual could be quite useful.

This camera is a Gem and I hope you like it.
As you say you are a beginner I would say, please dont give in too easily. The camera is capable of a lot more than most photographers will ever really use.
Pay attention to exactly what setting you have it on as its very easy to get muddled up in what exactly is going on.
Its not an ideal beginners camera bit you will grow with it.
If you can find the grip for this camera aswell you will be rewarded!

Whereabouts in Lincolnshire are you? I could lend you the original if you are not far from Lincoln.

I have recently aquired a pentax z-1 camera minus handbook, just starting out with photography, if you have had one of these cameras and can help out with tips or instructions for it I would be very grateful.
