Pentax X 5 DSLR

Hello to all the Pentax community from Polmont.
My wife has just bought me a Pentax X-5 bridge camera, I was wondering if you can attach any filters to the lens.:

From the images of the camera I can find on the web it appears that the X-5's lens lacks the necessary thread to facilitate the attachment of filters, so I would have to say I don't think you can attach filters.

The adding of filters to lenses is usually reserved for DSLR cameras and interchangeable lenses. The X-5 is a digital bridge camera, its lens is not interchangeable.

I don't know if they would be any use to you, but the camera has digital filters built in (B&W, Sepia, Toy Camera, Retro, Color, Extract Color, Color Emphasis, High Contrast, Soft, Fish-eye, Brightness, Miniature Filter)

Hi, You could certainly hold a graduated square filter in front of the lens to correct blown out skies (common with small sensored bridge cameras)

See how you get on first. You might be pleasantly surprised how clever the camera copes on its own
