Pentax User Plus member

Sorry for my ignorance, I've done that and I am able read anyone of them but i'm sure that I was able to read those articles before. What about the Magazine PDF downloads which I am sure will be of great interest.

I think this should be clarified a bit, I also thought it would mean back issue PDF downloads (being as the last I heard the magazine was no longer being produced).

This is probably one for the web bods, but one of the benefits of joining PU Plus clearly states "Magazine PDF Downloads", and that is the one and only reason I paid for a subscription. I have yet to find any PDF's to download. The article you describe John, is just that, an article, which I was able to read before paying for a subscription. I can't find any "Magazine PDF's" to download.

I feel I have so far been mislead. If PU Plus is still work in progress, why is it being sold so soon?

When I pay for a subscription, any subscription, I expect it to deliver what it promises now, not at some time in the future.

The latest article I was unable to view until I upgraded to Plus membership, and I'm just assuming this is the first of many. You can try this out by trying to view it whilst not logged in.

As for the comments regarding membership, if you make a report or PM PentaxDan then you can get a proper reply to your concerns.

I agree with Mannesty. But I still don't know what shows that I am a PU Plus member, I thought that something would show up in my User profile.
You are right John if you log out you can't read the articles unless you're PU Plus member but as said before I could read them and I did.nt need to pay to do that.

I've asked for a delay of the start of my PU Plus membership or a refund until the benefit that tempted me to subscribe is actually available.

I also found it odd that the Paypal merchant to whom my subscription was paid, is Peter Bargh and not Pentax User.

I'm not happy either - I paid looking forward to magazine pdf's which i could download and store on my computer.

There appears to be no extra content or real benefit for the subscription.!I agree with Pete we should be offered a delayed start to the membership or a refund until the service is available.

Still there are always niggles when Pentax user changes, the differece is that this time it involves money!!!!

I joined Pentax User for the Magazine and then it sadly closed just as i was getting interested.

I participate now for this interesting forum and the gallery which is now restricted unless you pay!

I think it's a shame that the web site is so slow to keep up. We had the Mag listed as current for ages for example and the new Plus idea (still waiting for a email to explain it to me now my sub has expired) infers to the uninitiated that the mag is back in pdf form. The promise of discount opportunities are vague to say the least.

Not an auspicious launch of an idea!

My original Pentax User membership ran until the end of December 2011 and I have not claimed any refund, so to be asked to pay more money in order to get back some of the benefits that I have already paid for is a bit rich

I paid up because I wanted to download the magazines that contained John's articles on the M series lenses and cameras from before I was a member... I'm happy to pay a bit towards the costs of keeping my favourite forum going and hopefully the magazines will come on-line before too long.

Just paid my membership fee. Articles work fine for me.

Articles always did work fine for me too, without paying for membership. It's the "Magazine PDF Downloads" I joined PU Plus for.
