Pentax updates

Richard, Peter, Yves -thanks!

Have installed the updated PDU4, and it certainly seems to be a lot better as a 'basic' tool than the software that came with my K20D.

I didn'd need a CD in the end; downloaded the original software courtesy of a post elsewhere in this forum and simply updated it.

I have just installed Windows 7 on my PC and could really use a link for that download if you have it handy.

TIA

Shaky - I suspect one way or the other you will need the original disk. Either you will have to install it in the first place, or the upgrade will ask to see the disk before it will install.

Many thanks for the information Mike-P and JohnX - I made a CD from the files, installed, and then ran the update - looks good so far.

Has anyone found the manual for version 4 of the software on line?

Mike - can you not find what you want to know from the program's help function?

Many thanks for this... I have just built a new computer running Win7-64 and PB3.61 is very unhappy - keeps freezing/not responding.

I'll try the 4.11 version and see if it's a bit more stable.

I just installed and tried out version 4.

This is much better to use than version 3 and much faster response to navigation commands (switching file to file, etc.). Also, it doesn't hang in Windows 7 (so far ).
