And don't forget the service side that's gone to a third party aswell.
Isn't that the same 3rd part that does C now? .
No Piotro they are not listed in my service book, Canon has 4 service repair centers within England, not one as with Pentax and as a Pro Canon user if required they will loan out a camera to me (As Nikon also do by the way)if needed something that is not or was offered by Pentax.

NO, see I do read the topic, and I too have issues with my pentax equipment. Like any other customer, in any other commercial or amateurial situation, things go wrong, and NOTHING IS PERFECT.

I find it really annoying that you keep on moaning about Pentax when you've moved brands, and this damages the forum, and the poor new pentax customers that will now have a distorted (or negative reality) view of the brand.

We will all experience some kind of problem at one point or another. I know that you will have issues with your canon at some point in your life. Just get on with it, and stop ruining it for everybody else!

Regards.

I am a "poor new pentax customer" and dont have a distorted (or negative reality) view of the brand.

I think this forum is pretty unbiased and very open minded and the fact that we are able to discuss anything quite openly (except raise arguments about prices on second hand equipment that forum members want to sell for) it is by itself a great thing.

I am quite hooked to this forum in fact .

Oh and about moaning? I am quite with the engineer on this point

Nathan I don't think stating a true fact that Pentax repairs have been outsourced, and by adding my comment to other comments on here(this topic) is me ruining it for everybody. I don't slack off the K20D or other models as far as that go's they are tools to use.
If I make a comment it's about Pentaxs service of which seems to be lacking in this country compared to others.

Back on topic, when Pentax revamped their site earlier this year some pages appeared in German.

I posted about it then.

Guess what? They're still there, in German.

It seem s Pentax UK are in a bit of a pickle, they seem to be concentrating on, well what?

Servicing's getting a slating, website is not up to U.S., Canadian et al standards, let's hope supply is OK unless we could loose our confidence completely.

We need confidence in Pentax U.K. so how can we get this across to them? :::
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

I think it could be started from this site itself. Anyone want to jolt down a brief list of improvements? I think corrections is the word rather than improvements on certain things

I will start:

1-Notifications on the image gallery comments. (not sure why its not incorporated, it really doesn't seem to take much to do it)

2-The coding for the page itself needs tweaking, the smilies input takes the mouse all over the place once its clicked. Such a pain

Well, I will stop, or else I will incur the wrath of the gods ooops wrong term, I meant to write "of the conformists"

Well Hardgravity,
The first thing is to look at the USA, Canada etc websites to see why they are so much better than the UKs, this could then form the basis for the argument. That done, there needs to be a petition and hopefully all from this site would sign. This then needs to be sent not only to Pentax UK, but to the main Headquarters Of Pentax itself in Japan. If enough UK Pentax customers complain, just maybe it will move them into action, if nothing is done, then its the Status Quo.
Not everything in life is Black & White, If only it were!
Kind Regards,

Not for the first time, SRS are well ahead of Pentax UK! I wonder if they Photoshopped this themselves?
