Pentax UK warranty question

Good morning all, just a quickie,

I'm finally able and about to buy myself a lovely K5.
I believe the warrenty is two years on that (from my local Pentax dealer, Celtic Vision), but if I also buy the 55-300 lens, how long is the warranty on that, 12 months or two years?

Lso as a side issue, it comes with the 18-55wr kit lens, is that a 1 or 2 year warranty?

The warranty will be the same two years if you buy from a Pentax Pro dealer. If you check the Pentax website it tells you which are the Pro dealers.

John, does the same not apply to an independant Pentax dealer that is not a Pro centre, but still listed on their stockist website?

You'll have to ask them Woody, but also check your statutary rights, which give limited benefits even up to six years in the UK and five years elsewhere in the EU.
