Who knows this converter and how it works? It is a good converter?

Its an excellent converter. I've used one combined with an A400 f/5.6 for taking shots of the moon. All the genuine Pentax converters are excellent.

As I have understood it, the TC Converter A-2XS should be used with prime A lenses no longer than 200MM.

There is also a TC Converter A-2XL which should cover 300MM and above.

I could be wrong though.
Best regards,

Martin.

You're right or close enough to right Martin. I haven't checked at what point the L converter needs to be used, but the principle is as you say.

Actually its 300mm and the TC A-2XL should be used on longer lenses.

Here is best source of information. The owners manual.

Seems my combination of A400 and 2x-s can cause some vignetting at the corners. I can't say I have noticed it though.

I'd have thought any vignetting would be on 35mm, with the APS-C sensor in a digital body being small enough to avoid the vignetting effect.
