It's possible that by then I will have made up my mind about what I'm doing..new camera or new lens?!

I've also been notified that stock to fulfil my order is not expected until the third week of May. Will see if they deliver then, or cancel beforehand!

Weather proofing and lack of aperture ring on the WP
I'll keep my old one, then mounting it on tubes etc is still possible.
Would be nice to go out in the rain, but not essential.
Don't buy this as an investment - you'll love it and never sell it

Am I missing something? The two links above seem to be pointing to exactly the same lens with a £300 price difference. Picture is the same but product code is different. The first link shows £683-23 ?

Nope, I couldn't work this out either...they are the same lens, but priced wildly differently! If you search their website with 'D FA 100 they both come up along with the non-WR version, but only the pricier one is listed under the Pentax lenses section!

This happens quite a lot on the Microglobe site. Usually it is only the high price listing that is 'in stock'. The low price listing is just a teaser...

I've always wondered why that lens qualifies to be in the D-FA lens series.
Whilst it may have an image circle to suit 35mm, it lacks an aperture ring, so couldn't be used (except wide open) with their flagship film SLR , the MZ-S.
Curious.

Works on the MZ-6 & MZ-7 though.

Tamron brought some lenses out during the Z1 era with
no aperture ring. They worked OK with the Z1. I still
have a 28-90mm.
