I am not too sure if this is the correct place for this, but here goes.

On my way home from walking the dog about 4 nights ago, I found this camera, it had been clearly dumped because it was on a recycling pile. Any way it looks in good condition although it didn't seem to work and I thought that the lens glass was cracked, on closer inspection it appeared to be just a filter glass that was cracked. I got the camera home and replaced the battery with one that was in my olympus and hey presto the thing came to life....

Pretty much every thing seems to do what it is supposed to do, although I am not sure if it saves images to film and as I am now using digital and it is highly unlikely that I will start using film.

Now this is the important bit, so please follow closely as I will say this only once. This is camera and lens (SMC PENTAX-FA 1:3.5-4.7 28-80mm)is up for grabs FREE to whoever can collect/ meet or is prepared to pay the postage.

The switch on the lens which switches from PA>AS is held on with sellotape! But still seems to work..

Oh nearly forgot to add I am in SE London.

Chunky old cameras, but they worked.

For people who don't like the complexity of modern cameras, they are a useful antidote.

Hope you find a taker.

This sounds very much like some CRIMINAL activity has taken place......

.....Fancy, dumping a Pentax on a rubbish pile, they should be locked up.

I know I couldn't agree more.

As an aside, the better half looked at the camera and said "Isn't that the same as the camera you have just bought?". I have just bought a K10D.

Well the only person actually wanting the camera, Hardgravity, will be getting it. HG you have pm...
