Welcome back Pete.

In my experience when stopped down to f8 at A3 print size there is no discernible difference between most lenses, not that it stops me wanting more lenses

Quite right limbo. Its what really turned me to selling my expensive gear. Yes, the expensive gear can give a little bit more performance, such as rapid,silent focussing (my Canon 70-200mmL f4 lens was lightning. but, such things aren't showstoppers for me. Image quality is, and I know I get that with all the old lenses from pentax
