pentax q noises

It's a little vague Dave, but I would check the lens is mounted well and then if there's something happening that didn't happen previously it might be a good idea to have it looked at.
A reset to factory defaults would be a double check that something has not been set unexpectedly.

Thanks John. I know I was vague but the noise is difficult to describe. whirring and creaking like a computer searching for something.
I will recheck the settings and hope I pressed a wrong button or put the lens on wrong!

Solved it
For some reason I had shake reduction on during live view (mode 2). Once I set it back to mode 1 there was lovely silence The noise must have been the shake reduction continualy altering as it says in the manual this does drain the battery.
Not sure how that happened but it did.

Always good to read of these things because one day...

How are you enjoying it? I keep running the batteries down playing with mine without really taking any pictures.

I love it. I bought the Q neoprene bag at a fair price and now the camera fits in my work rucksack and goes out with me everyday.
I agree about playing with it. The battery life is low but with a few non pentax batteries it is manageable.
I just need to work out how the integral phone, MP3 player, mobile broadband and the Freesat tv all work
For a novice like me it really frees you up for some reason.

The phone isn't great, you have to shout a lot to be heard.
I've ordered a black leather (n)ever ready case for it from HK. I'll report back when I get it.

I have been trying the fish eye today. You have to be really careful not to include the finger on the focus ring.

I got a puppy nose print on mine, amazing how the new Pentax coating throws it off.
