Oh I didn't realise everything had to be up to the minute on here, I mentioned it solely because no one else here had. It isn't difficult to read dates on articles and posts.

I thought it was interesting and it was the first time I'd noticed it.
It's also interesting that a while ago there was sufficient interest and confidence in the Q for someone to produce such a lens. It seems it may have been a short production run, but I hope they did well and sold them all. Probably in Japan?

A Leica collecting friend tells me that the maker, a lone craftsman apparently, is extremely highly regarded in Leica circles. It certainly looks beautifully crafted.
