Pentax P50?

Hi 456,
The lens is worth that on it's own (even if it's an M). The P50 has Av, Manual and two programs (Action & Depth), Meter lock and DOF preview. It will also bolt onto the Motordrive-A (3fps). Build wise it's a cross-over between a 'proper metal camera' and the electronic age and is interesting for that reason.
Boring tech fact time: It was the first camera to have a pictogrm LCD panel on the top plate (icons to show running person & mountains).

Apart from the Motor Drive A, it will also take the Winder ME II - which is easier to find.
I think it handles like the originals (think S1a, for example), but will work with K, and KA lenses (and, of course, M42+adapter).

If in good condition - a bargain at £20. I liked the P50 and have owned several of them.
If you buy and don't like this camera and lens- I will happily take them off your hands for what you paid - there you go - you can't lose

I only recently got a P50, LINK, and am impressed by the build but confussed by the buttons.
£20, I paid a littlemore than that for mine and still need to use it, but the weather is getting better!
If you don't buy it then you'll regret it, after all it's a Pentax.

Hi HG,
What problems are you having with the buttons?
To change the exposure mode you hold the 'Mode' button down and press the Up/Down buttons to cycle through them, the options are:
Aperture not on 'A': Auto (Aperture priority), Manual, x-sync (1/100th) and Bulb.
Aperture on 'A': Program action, Program depth.
In manual press the Up/Dn buttons to change the speed (pressing 'Mode' in manual locks the current speed 'L' appears - press 'Mode' again to unlock).
To set exposure compensation, hold the 'EF' button down and use the Up/Dn buttons to set the required value.
The 'ML' button around the lens is the meter lock. Depth of field preview is above the lens release (but stops the lens down to minimum aperture when the ring is set to 'A').
The self timer is set by holding down the front part of the On/Off switch and sliding the lower part past 'ON' to 'S.T'.
And that's it, film speed is read from the DX coding on the cassette.

Yes the P5 and P50 are the same camea, the problem with the buttons for me is just a 'I'm used to dials' thing.
