Pentax Optio S5i digital compact camera

I bought this fantastic little camera 2002 but it's now showing signs of wear and tear. I want to purchase another one but can't find anything. Has Pentax discontinued this model? If so, does anyone have any ideas which websites still sell it.. new or used? All relevant info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Sandra,

Welcome to the forum.

Pentax compacts are all branded 'Ricoh' now and the current line up can be seen here link an here link

The S5i hasn't been made for a very long time, but you might pick one up from eBay.

Thanks Ken for the link....alas no Optio S5i listed. Do I understand correctly, 'Pentax compacts' re-branded as 'Ricoh'? Sounds rather 'cheap' in my opinion.
Thanks John for confirming S5i no longer exists..have checked ebay...only 1 advertised. Any suggestions for a good Pentax digital camera...new.

Regards
Sandra.

The S5i was very tiny, so the choice in Pentax is quite small these days.

The best one is the MX-1, currently available for an amazingly low price considering it started out at over £400. However, it's relatively bulky.

The Ricoh waterproof/shockproof compacts are the latest generation of the Pentax WG series and they have prices to suit depending on model and features wanted. The WG cameras are nice and compact and there's a great little neoprene case for them for less than £10 that's well worth having at the same time.

Otherwise, check out Amazon because they often list older models and there can be some great bargains.
