With these cameras, when you set the date and time double check that you have scrolled down on the final screen to save changes. If the date and time isn't confirmed it will need constantly re-entering. It's one Pentax menu design element that is actually prone to error.

I had this problem with my Pentax Q. I formatted the SD card in the camera and had no trouble since. I hope this works for you.

I have done that one a few times before, but not this time. But agree it is a menu design flaw.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a cure?
I have read elsewhere that the SD card can cause this behaviour.
