pentax optio 430 rs problem...

hi,thanks for looking.i have a pentax optio 430rs .only problem is when itry to take a photo it does not do anything.there is nothing eles wrong with the camera it does all the options and menu list .zooms in and out ,but when i press the shutter buton it does not do anytghing.any help would be great ..many thanks glenn [email protected]

If you press really hard on the shutter release button does it fire?

hi mate.no i tried to do that allready ive pressed it as hard as i dare press it(very hard)and it still dosen't work

I'm afraid it sounds like it needs to go back for service. If you bought it from a shop take it back so they can do the admin. If it's only a few weeks or so old they should replace it. If it's older they may need to send it back for you - depends on the shop's returns policy.

hi.it seems i hadn't had my porridge..i decided to give it a bit of blast out with a can of air.....still didnt work...but i pressed it realy hard and now its working....all beit i have to press it realy hard to work it but at least it works...i only paid £12 for it from an auction.what a bargain.

i now need a battery and pc lead.does anybody know a good cheap place that sells these items at a good price...many thanks for looking.


oh and i just took it off ebay had it up for £30 somebody missed a right bargain

We had one like that, that's why I asked. The only problem is camera shake because you press really hard and cause movement as you push. You need to make sure while you're pressing down your other fingers are pressing upwards so you get a smooth shutter fire.
