Espio 110 - Broken film load door

I have had my espio for about 8 or 9 years now, and I have always used it as my 'best' camera (Holidays, Weddings etc.) and I have always looked after it. The pictures have always been first rate. The problem is that I lent it to my girlfriend to take some pictures at a christening (you just know what happens next!) When changing the film, lo and behold, the camera was accidentally dropped, with the film loading door open, ending up in two pieces - door and camera body - on the floor. Not impressed when I was told, as you can imagine. The camera was about £250 when purchased, although equvalents are now under £100. The thing is, a repair has been quoted at about £50, so it's debatable whether the camera is 'economical to repair'. The only thing that has broken is the door itself where the two hinge pins sit between the door and the camera body. A replacement door is all that is needed. So my question (at last) is if anyone could tell me if there are any suppliers where I could get the part needed to do the repairs myself. I don't want to confine this excellent camera to the wheelie bin when I could get a similar spec for not much more than the repair cost. Many thanks in advance.

I can only suggest keeping an eye out on Ebay. There are currently a douple of Espio 115's advertised as spares / repairs for under £10. You may strike lucky and pick up another body with other faults that you can cannabalise to repair yours. Good Luck
