pentax MG

I have an old Pentax MG, and it's my first time using it. I've loaded the film (I think), but the wind-on lever won't seem to work. Could somebody please help me?

Hey,it seems that it is mechanical problem because not matter if the film is loaded or not the film counter (You are asking about it right??) works.

This might be incredibly obvious, but you need to release the shutter between each wind on action. If you were on AUTO and had the lens cap on, this would result in very long shutter speeds and it might seem as though things were not operating properly. Set the shutter dial to 100X whilst loading the film to solve this.
