Now is it just me, but if you saw this bunch (especially the one to the right) standing on a railway platform, would you not call MI-5 immediately!

John, you could have cloned out that fag I was holding
A good day had by all I hope! pity it was on the chilly side, I think Alan was going into hibernation mode a one point up at Irwell Vale
Four of my shots from the day.
1 Double headed departure

2 Steamy

3 Railway staff

4 Open door (with reflection)

All four shots are brilliant Cliff. I'm not going to make any comments about rogues or MI-5 as I may get myself into trouble! I'll leave the controversial comments to other more able members in this department!

Great shots, but I too especially like John's last shot.
Personally I would be tempted to crop it to a portrait or square shot. I think losing the fence would give it more impact and give it an abstract feel.

I look like I'm about to fall over, NO! I hadn't been in the bar, John can't hold his camera level
So a few more faces to names, Cliff, John and John, who looking at the pics posted so far knew what they were doing with railway photography, not that they gave me any tips as you can see by my efforts

Love 'em all and would like to have been there but for other commitments. Cliff your #1 looks like HDR, very effective treatment. And I love John's Class 5 emerging from a cloud of steam. Alan you mmay not be an old hand at railway photogrpahy but you've got some good stuff there.
I didn't make it to Bury but I got as far as the S+C Railway to grab shots of Cromwell in action.
