Pentax Kr first photos

I purchased the Kr a week ago but have not been out yet to realy try it out the weather has been so bad lately over a foot of snow this morning here. Any way I took these from the bedroom window in poor light to be honest to try the camera out at different F numbers and thought you might like to see the results. The first three are at F16,F32 and F 40 straight from camera the focus point was on the ctr of the tree bark iso 200. The last two is a tweeked image and HDR image.

Not the best lens to bring out the best in the K-r - I had assumed you were shooting with one of the Pentax kit lenses.

I will try and get more with a prime next week and add more to the thread John if the weather does get a little better.

But an interesting comparative set none-the-less. I do know the frustrations of having a "new" bit of kit and being thwarted by the weather. However, I managed to take my "new" K10 out in the snow this morning...

Ian, you need to use apertures generally between f/4 (f/5.6 better) and f/11 to get sharp pictures from basically any lens. A lot start to go poor for technical reasons from f/16.

Thanks for the feed back guys I will try and get more images when the weather is better with a better lens. Im slowly getting used to the camera and settings.
