Or alternatively a silver body with approx. 6K shots in "very good" condition from Harrison Cameras for a little less money...

Yeah, I'd spotted that one at Harrison's too. I've bought & traded used gear with them in the past, and always found them very easy to deal with.

But I've just bought a new laptop, and the car needs a bit of work...

And complement it you did too Lenny. Your spot was an even better deal alright. Both have gone now so someone or two must have also thought they were a good buy. I wonder if it was anyone here?

Yes, two great bargains there - the KP is a great Pentax APS-C body (once one acclimatises to the different ergonomics), so there should be two very happy buyers. For anyone who was interested in those, it seems likely that it won't be too long before there will be some more good KP deals as some users upgrade to the K-3 III.

I wish it was me. Instead I got what I thought was a stonker of a deal (£390 for a KP) but it turned out to be faulty.

I might have been tempted by a little silver number with all 3 grips and 12 months warranty

£550 brand new in box... less if you were a student (I think £487)

Camerapricebuster.co.uk has the lowest price back in Feb 2020 at £526 on Amazon then £619 in the November. At the time I was thinking I'd treat myself to the new camera that we all new was in development but, I don't feel I need to spend £1900 on a camera body to continue enjoying my hobby so, secondhand KP it is. You pay your money and take your choice...

I love it when the community helps each other out, not just with pointers to deals like these (Enjoy Nigel ), but the amount of advice that is offered - both in posts on the forum and in PM's. I've asked advice from several members, and been asked questions myself, and it has been so useful

But isn't that the whole pint of a forum. Like minded people coming together to share their work, thoughts and experiences, help, advise and support each other etc, in a friendly civilized atmosphere.

Photography is the beautiful hobby.
