Pentax K50 Advert

Very negative video..... that should put a few people off
The only good bit was that it takes AA batteries, but the message
wasn't on screen long enough.
The quality was good, but why finish at the end with her not
being able to take a photo. Is that what happens with Pentax
cameras you can't take photos.
It's completely the opposite of the old Successful Kodak adds in which
to take a photo was "As Simple as Clicking"

It made me laugh at the end, and the production is good.
But as a promotion, it's rubbish. Except in the sense of any publicity being good publicity.
That said, it was mercifully short, and entirely unlike Ricoh's promo vid for the K-3, which made me want to punch their entire marketing department.

Well I wouldn't say it's very negative because its message is clear, but it isn't particularly inspiring either. A mixed message.
Best regards, John

What can be more negative than the camera not working!
Perhaps her boyfriend could have produced an SD card (and saved the
day) from another OLD camera that he had with him that he was sick
of the batteries going flat or the camera just wouldn't work
because it had water or sand splashed on it. He could have
even got one from an MP3 Player.
I've just looked at the K30 video and that one's very good.

Looks like a good advert for RTFM.
For a camera - just what was the point?

Good video. Good production values, it gets the message across and strikes a chord. I've found myself without a memory card on more than one occasion

I am the creator of a K30 video that was posted here last year (the one with the little kid pouring sand on the K30). It received an overwhelmingly positive response, so I was asked to create a short promo for the K50. I have posted it below (not trying to promote myself here - hence no name - but, rather, trying to get the word out about the K50).
I noticed there have been questions on forums such as this one about the source of these videos. While they are not officially part of a Pentax ad campaign, they were created with the participation of Pentax Canada (now Ricoh) to be used at tradeshows, training sessions, and for viral marketing.
Enjoy the video and please share if you like it!
