Pentax K10D DSLR with DA 18-55mm kit lens.

The camera is in superb outer condition and comes boxed along with battery (non original), strap, charger, all leads, kit lens (no rear cap), manual and software (copy as I lost the original).

£120 plus shipping .. Payment via BT, Cheque or Paypal with buyer paying fees. Camera will be sent upon clearance of payment.

Now for the problems.

1. Battery door catch is not working correctly, it will spring open but to keep it closed you gave to turn the door catch back before it will stay closed. (no great problem)

2. AE-L button no longer works correctly, it seems to have stuck

3. There is a mark on the sensor. It does not show up until around f11 and can be cloned out with software. I am not sure if it is a scratch or can be removed with a professional clean .. I would bet on it being a scratch though.

The camera still takes superb pictures and you can get around the problems quite easily or if you are handy then probably quite easily fix them yourself.

My last 2 PPG acceptances were taken with this camera just a week or two ago.

Ideal candidate for converting to IR I would say.

Is this the "Designer" red tape one?

Yup, although the tape is n longer needed. The door half fixed itself,
given enough time it may even sort out the sensor and AE-L button

I think it's a bargain considering this camera has over 80 acceptances on the PPG

That's probably not got much to do with the camera Mike.

Someone's going to love that camera, a steal at £120, dodgy door or not.

I think the buyer is going to get it converted to IR .. really looking forward to seeing some pics taken with it when done.

I am indeed looking to convert it to IR. I've been looking to get a Pentax DSLR converted for a while. I was planning on doing it myself (I've converted a couple of point and shoots as a test) but I can't find replacement IR filters in the right size. Plus I probably wouldn't want to risk it with a great machine like the k10d.

Once it's all sorted I will be sure to post some pictures. I realise it's probably the wrong time of year for IR photography (or will be once it's all working) but I can hopefully show you that the camera is being put to good use Mike.
You will only prise my 43Ltd from my cold, dead hands...
