Be a bit careful about that. I was reading the CL-1 manual recently (as I bought one a week ago) and Metz specifically say that you shouldn't put rechargeable batteries in the standard battery holder as it isn't designed for them - basically the flash will see too low a voltage due to the rechargeables having 1.2v per cell against the 1.5v of conventional AAs.

The Auto mode works very well on these - you just set the shutter to the sync speed, set the aperture and ISO, dial in the same values on the top of the flash while checking the distance to subject is within what the flash can deal with, and shoot. The flash's own metering will measure the light and set the output for a good exposure.
Buying the Pentax dedicated adapter didn't seem to do anything for mine, luckily I didn't pay much for it and the cable works with a standard shoe adapter.

Tried to do some research into price for this, and the cheapest I can find it is £150 without a case. So I'm looking for £95 + actual shipping costs including the lovely metal case. Willing to do trades as well if you've got something interesting as well - mainly interested in older higher-quality MF prime lenses.
The flash is in near new condition while the case looks like it's been used (put in trunks / storage) but the foam inside is still perfect. Flash also comes with a diffuser which normally costs extra cash.
