Hi, I'm trying to use a Vivitar 28mm Pentax K fit lense with my K10D but it doesn't fit . I didn't think I needed a convertor ?

Any ideas.... ?

Cheers

If it were a K fit lens it would fit, and although some independent lenses don't fit as slickly as a Pentax one will, the Vivitars are not bad.

So are you sure it is a Pentax K-fitting lens? If it's a screw fitting lens you will need the Pentax Adapter K, but if it's some other bayonet fit then there is nothing that can be done.
Best regards, John

Thanks - It looks like a K fit and says P/K on the side so appears to be....

Just won't sit far enough down to turn....

Strange...

Whatevere you do, don't try to force it. If you compare it with a Pentax K fit lens is there anything obviously bent or damaged on the back of your Vivitar lens?
Best regards, John

Does the lens say something like Pk-R??

If this is the case - it wont fit unless you do some work on it.....

I had a vivitar lens I had to refit to the K-bayonet.

It now works extremely good.

Take a picture of the bayonet and post it....

I can take a picture of the rezised flange - if this is the case...let me know.
