Can anyone tell me if this adapter is fully compatible with a MZ6? The adapter is focusing any lens that attach to it, but I am not seeing any aperture information in the viewfinder or top panel. I also and I cannot adjust aperture via the front control lever. I have cleaned all the contacts on the camera, the adapter and a number of different lenses.

The MZ6 is working fine and all information is available with just a lens attached

The adapter also works fine on the K10 and all information seems to be available on the Z1

Any insight would be appreciated.

I've just tried my MZ-6 + F 1.7x AF T/C + FA 28-200mm, then F 50mm 1.7 and it all works as expected. Aperture can be changed in Av mode, aperture and shutter speed can be changed in M mode.

Which lens are you using? If I have one, I'll try it.

Wipe the contacts on both camera and T/C (both ends) with a clean dry rag with 1 (one) drop of WD40 on it.

This will clean any oxidants that might be causing the issue and the WD40 will dry in time. One drop won't do any harm IMHO. Others will disagree, but it has always worked for me with no ill effects where camera contacts were the cause of my problem, which is actually very seldom.

I would not use any type of solvent cleaner, unless there were deposits on the mount that could only be removed by solvent cleaning. Even then, I'd be reluctant.

Hi Peter thanks for the reply. I have cleaned the contacts at both ends of the adapter and also on the MZ6. But the camera still fails to show any aperture information in any mode and with a wide variety of 'A' 'F' or 'FA' lenses. The camera is also not controlling the aperture from the from selector.

The camera is working fine without the adapter in place.

If I switch to either the Z1 or K10 everything works as I would expect it to, so it would seem to be an interface issue with between the adapter and MZ6

It is not a great problem to me, but it bugs me when things don't work as they should.

Problem solved. As Peter suggested it was a contact problem on the body side of the converter. A little loosening of the mount allowed the contacts to reseat.

Thanks Peter for your assistance.
