I have several ever ready cases for my film cameras. When comparing the ever ready cases for my Spotmatic F and KX they appear almost identical. Are there different ever ready cases for the Spotmatic series cameras and the K-series cameras (KM, KX, K1000)?

BTW: I am searching for the LX ever ready case, if anyone has one to sell, I would be interested.

The Spotmatic ERCs have the 'Spotmatic' logo - kind of an 'eye' logo as a badge, otherwise they're hard to differentiate.

The KM is basically a bayonet mount Spotmatic, so cases will be the same I would have thought. However, there was a simplification of cases as time went by and the M series, for example, did away with the screw fitting on the base.

I am currently storing my Pentax 35mm film cameras in a bookshelf in their respective Ever Ready Cases. Is there a risk of the cameras and lenses attracting humidity and fungus with such a practice?

Open shelves are good. Also best to store the cameras and lenses out of their cases to ensure good air circulation.

Cases can harbour fungus, they're a much better home for these microbes than cameras or lenses are on their own. Ideally store the cases separately but somewhere not humid and where light can get in and air can circulate.
