Pentax dslr repair costs

Hi all,just phoned the official pentax repair people to enquire about the cost of repairing a malfunction which happened during a firmware upgrade(not covered by warranty).I was shocked to learn that the minimum charge would be £160+vat,but it could be more.Lets hope this doesnt happen again.Keith

They probably need to replace the motherboard with a new one

Just had one of the circuit boards replaced in my GX20 at Asahi Photo

£99 inc postage & vat etc the part was £35. I am guessing labour would be the same price for any other circuit board replacement..
