See what you mean spider. And I am really looking forward to see whether Pentax will be able to keep up in the race or not, as the K10D seems very promising. IŽve "squeezed" the K100D some and there is no doubt that IŽd prefer it before the Canon 350D. The veiwfinder is only one of the reasons for that.
I also hope that the Digital 645 will help the Pentax brand to keep their customers. ThereŽs alot of 645 lenses out there.

The D80 has had continuous TV spots here recently and the Canon has a 8 or 10 page full colour flyer in today's paper.
Pentax did a big billboard campaign last year - They MUST keep it up.

Pentax Canada is doing thier stuff.
I'm seeing billboards, magazine ads, web ads, youtube, but most importantly...cameras! I see them at costco, london drugs, black's, best buy, the only complaint is that the clerks at these big box stores need more incentive to pitch the products.
I openly contradicted a sales clerk at Don's (no relation) Photo in winnipeg who was telling a customer that all the pros use only canon. I asked him if he was a pro..he said he did some weddings and this job was a stepping stone..blah blah blah. I asked him how much he charges. (low price til he gets his name out there). I pulled out my wedding brochure for next season, and pointed out that I know ONE Pro that makes at least four times as much money per job, that uses Pentax.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Its been a long time since I've seen a Pentax camera used in this manner, further proof that Pentax is getting back into the act.
