The angle makes it look that way but the lens cap would have a logo on it. I think it is a polariser on the lens.

Not a Pentax and not a lens cap. On enlargement it Looks to be a Panasonic camera with an ND or polarizing filter attached.

No, definitely not a lens cap. Look very closely you can even see the faint outline of the front element. Doubtful you could do that through a lens cap.

It's also missing the manufactuers name, and the centre of it is recessed (i.e. The edge sticks out a bit) which is the wrong profile for a lens cap.
