Pretty good looking stand, the word stand doesn't really do it justice...

Nice to see some references to Pentax in there.

I assume they used a Pentax with Movie SR to stabilise this, or someone went super heavy with the Warp Stabiliser...

And Ricoh really want to put their name on that video?

It's been hard to convey to all what Movie SR does, but this video is just so perfect as a demo of why it's so bad, I'm really glad it's come to be. That jello/warping of the display blocks in the middle of each stand is a prime example. It's not consistent either, so it can't be corrected in post even. That footage is ruined forever by utilising shake reduction, which should be a point of difference over other brands that don't offer hardware to stabilise their sensor in the actual camera. Instead it's useless and destructive and you have to turn it off if you value your footage. Yes it makes me pretty angry.

Sorry, end rant.

And it would still be more interesting than CES

That video from Ricoh just about sums them up at the moment.

It's quite an impressive display of cameras and lenses though. I wonder if there's some mega-rich collector somewhere who's bought one in every colour combination...I wouldn't be surprised.
Best regards, John

Be nice to be able to walk up to that booth and say "I'll take one of everything please"!

As much as I enjoy my photography after watching a programme last night about a super car dealer in London I think I could find something more exciting to spend my money on.

I would be surprised if a mega rich collector were to be tempted. Pentax is all about substance, not endless permutations of colour. Underneath the rainbow this is a rather paltry three DSLR range with no real upgrade path between them. The cameras themselves look very good but they may as well be separate brands, The good news is that the K60orwhateveritistobecalled looks like a return to proper Pentax values. CP+ will be way more interesting, actually crucial.
