Pentax AF-240Z off E-Bay

I've just bought a Pentax AF-240Z flashgun off e-bay for the princely sum of £6.21p to use on my *ist DL2. Ok almost as much again in postage, but still a bargain I reckon.
Can anyone give me any tips on how to get the best from it. I realise I will probably need to use it on manual most of the time but I'm actually quite looking forward to that.
Thanks.

It's a very useful little flashgun.

It is smallish and light, and recharges quickly.

In A mode (with the camera in Manual) it will take care of exposure for you.

I use mine mainly as a trigger for my two AF500FTZs. By aiming the flash at the ceiling I don't run into problems when going close to the subject.

Thanks George
I recall from one of your previous replies to some other post that you use it as a trigger. Am I right in saying that the AF240Z doesn't emit a preflash, thus setting off the other flashguns. I hope so, as this was one of the main reasons I bought it as I've got some old Sunpak and Chinon flashes that I want to use off-camera. On my *istDL2 I can't cancel the onboard flash preflash.
Thanks again.
