Pentax adverts

These certainly would not attract me to the Pentax brand. They seem to give out very strange messages.

What is more to your style Dave and what's the message?
The first two is when every millisecond count and the later I somehow make the link with A perfect body with all the right accessories
I can't say that I like the very little of what I've seen from the K7, although I like this one but will probably not share my opinion with many here.

Actually though the photos in the first one are not my way of advertising, it does give you an example of the shots that the camera can produce. The second one is not much better though, and from an advertising and graphic perspective is rather bland. I would rather see the first over the second.

Come to think about it, maybe Pentax should consider a new advertising agency with a fresher approach in its marketing. Might help get the name out there more.

Although eye catching the first two seem odd for a brand like Pentax, they're more the sort of advert that Canon would use for it's P and S ramge.
The third one carries the message better and actually has a larger logo which pushes the brand better.
The fourth is simple, clean and straight forward and is, to me the better advert.
But that's just my view.

I quite like the first two, they fit in with my weird sense of humour
The second is clearly exploitation of women and as such I find it a bit tacky, i think.....hang on I'll just have several more lingering looks and re-evaluate

First two are obviously off track, if milliseconds count, I would not be using my K7. The third advert suggests something different, pity about the spelling mistake (seductiely).
As for the K7 advert, are Pentax users only classed as hobbyists?
Time to find a sense of direction...

It's quite interesting how different adverts affect peoples.
I thought the first two were good (especially the second which made me laugh out loud). The third (as IS said) is clearly aimed at men and just shows how times have changed in such a short period .. and probably still grabs the attention of those with a pulse.
The last one did nothing for me at all and I would just pass it over as another advert.

You have to remember that adverts are aimed at a specific cultural market, the first two are for the USA and might be more potent there thank in the UK.

Actually, if you look at the first advert, it is not geared to the US market, but if I am not mistaken by the web address, the Swedish one instead. The second one has the US web address.

I'm cant see a web address on either the first or the second but I do see American police uniforms and an American aeroplane registration.

While I can not deny the airplane, the uniforms are definitely not American police uniforms. In fact, the vehicle behind the first group is not not even a model sold in the states. The web addresses are located at the bottom of each advert.

OK I'll chip in
The first ad - I ~think~ I can make out on the 'cops' right side of their chest a series of letters that look like white lines .
To me the first 'letter' looks as if it could be an S
or of course being the technoidiot I could be wrong
