They only make 100 a year, and it's not available to the general public link
A link to the Ricoh blurb here, link , showing what is perhaps the worst ever example of a really bad photo being used to show the capabilities of a camera.
It would no doubt be a lot cheaper and easier to buy a stock 645D and get it converted yourself. It would still eye-wateringly expensive for, as Will says, such a niche camera. I've no doubt it would take some stunning shots, but perhaps an IR K5 would be more practical? As someone who does a lot of IR, I'd love to see some shots from the IR 645D though.

There was a batch of 100 of these made IIRC when Hoya was the owner so there must be a small but steady demand to make it worthwhile. No doubt the high unit price will make it more worthwhile.
Best regards, John

Aloha,
I've tried to get a regular version converted, nobody will do it.
Guess guess I'll just have to go to Japan and sit on the front steps of
Pentax's overlords and wait till someone brings me one, they are about $12,000 though.
need MF for large prints, i use the 645D now so I'm pretty spoiled!
looked into getting the Nikon D800E converted, but will continue to make an effort to Get the Pentax...

Glad to hear it. Good luck with your search. Do you have any examples of your IR work with other cameras?

I had a play about with one at a shoot in USA a few months ago. Seems that there is no demand for this model in UK. I would definitely have one if I could but to be honest it does not make sense to have this model just to do IR
