For me it's the opposite: reviews are useless if they merely tell me what I already know or believe. Only those reviews that challenge my assumptions or fill in missing data points or provide new outlooks interest me.I agree most reviews are worthless unless they happen to be biased towards your own predisposition. (I just spent the last hour reading reviews of a book I am studying, for exactly this reason.)

My post also made it clear that it was comparing commercial 'corruptness' with people with no commercial bias. Of which I am amongst the latter.

I'll go back to my "Fail" corner, because we all know political publishers are unbiased...
You think you could ever do twitter? or are you operating on the assumption that whomever writes the longest posts will be presumed to be correct, based on the average persons attention span?
Just askin... don't answer, I ain't got time to read another novel.

Don't you Guys ever sleep?
We all have our favourites - be it Cars, Cameras or Lenses - If the price is right, it does what you want - buy it. If you subsequently fall out of love with it - sell it on
I would not go for the 12-24 as I already have the 10-17 fisheye and a Pentax A 15mm.
I think there has been a bit of BATING going on!

back on topic.... I say you can't generally trust reviews, but there are a few reviewers out there that try to maintain a professional objectivity.Making digs is not debating, so time to get back on topic please.
I did buy the kr, and was influenced by your opinion in your review... and I'm happy with it. So from my perspective... you can mine the review fields for info and filter out a lot of crap, or you can join a forum and find a few people who's opinions you can respect.... but one way or another.... Pentax is a smaller company and your options are limited... so if the 10-24 seems too risky, go with the Limited!
and yes I was having a few digs, for giggles and sport, so sorry.... I am a weak willed sinner....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

The illusion of "objectivity" is a large part of the problem.back on topic.... I say you can't generally trust reviews, but there are a few reviewers out there that try to maintain a professional objectivity.
But on the subject of the DA12-24. It's a good lens, with OK build quality. I like it, even though it is a zoom. There are none better so I make do.

Not aimed at you Tim, but this has moved on and has been put back on topic. No point in prolonging the diversion, the moment has passed.
Best regards, John
